DMCA and takedowns
Typesay respects the rights of type designers. If a font is listed here without permission, tell us and we will remove it.
Before listing
Every author confirms they own or hold the rights to each font they upload. Uploads are checked against known commercial families and reviewed by a person before they go live. Mistakes can still happen, and this page is how to fix them.
Sending a notice
Email dmca@heytypesay.com with:
- The URL of the Typesay page for the font you are reporting.
- The name of the original work and where it is legitimately available.
- Your name, company, email and a postal address or phone number.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorised to act for them.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
We act on complete notices within two working days. The font is taken down, the author is told why, and repeat infringers lose their account.
Counter notices
If your font was removed and you believe that was a mistake, reply to the takedown email with a counter notice containing your contact details, the URL that was removed, a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your location. We forward it to the complainant and may restore the listing after ten working days if they do not take further action.
